A retired university Don, Mr Odafe Dele Mathew, has led his entire family members in Oteri-Ughelli community, Ughelli North Local Government Area Delta State, to join the All Progressive Congress, APC in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Mr Odafe who was a two time President General of Oteri community and a one time chairman of President Generals of Ughelli kingdom disclosed that he is convinced that President Tinubu is capable of driving the wheel of Nigeria economic growth and development to its destination.
He said, “I joined APC with all my family members, because, going back into memory lane, since the attainment of Nigeria’s Independence, no leader, has been as bold and forward looking, as well as developmental oriented as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s withdrawal of fuel subsidy which had been an albatross in the wheel of Nigeria’s economic growth and development and the granting of full autonomy to the Local Government Council Areas in Nigeria, are very remarkable achievement by all standards.
“With his vision of renewed hope agenda, I am convinced and believe that he can harness, the abundant natural and human resources of our great nation, Nigeria and ensure the optimum utilization and distribution of our resources to make life more abundant to raise the living standards of Nigerians.
“President Tinubu has brought us from the state of economic miasma/anomie that Nigeria had been plunged into by successive previous administrations.”
Speaking further, Odafe said “I carefully analysed the situation to my children, who are all University graduates, and they are convinced that it is only President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that can take us to our desired destination in Nigeria’s quest for leadership position in Africa as well as our quest for sustainable economic growth and development.
“Hence my sons, their wives and my grand children who are of votable age joined me to declare for the All Progressives Congress (APC)
“Without doubt, the times are very hard now, but surely, Nigeria by the able leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his Renewed Hope Agenda is now on the right track for sustainable economic stability and development.
“The pedigree of quintessential and phlegmatic leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is worthy of emulation, by any one in Nigeria aspiring to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is a statement of fact that is unassailable.
“I therefore call on all Nigerians to massively support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, so that Nigeria can take its rightful position in Africa and indeed in the world to enable the present tempo of economic development in Nigeria to be sustained and make life more abundant for all Nigerians” he appealed.
